BIOGRAPHY
 
Tom Allwood graduated from Cambridge University in 2002, having studied English literature.
 
 
Afterwards he moved to Lichfield, where he set up Palace Images to sell postcards (and other photographic products) based on an expanding collection of images of the region.
 
 
His most recent exhibition was the Guildford Summer Festival Exhibition (4th-22nd July 2005) in the Lewis Elton Gallery at the University of Surrey.
 
   

Other exhibitions include one of images of Lichfield Cathedral in the 2003 Lichfield Festival. Along with other pictures of Lichfield, it is now on permanent display in the Lichfield District Council offices.

 
 
As a freelance photographer he has worked for The Lichfield Garrick Theatre, The Lichfield Festival, The Erasmus Darwin Centre and the Lichfield District Tourist Board. Pictures of his have appeared in publications both in the UK and abroad, including 'The Guardian', 'The Independent on Sunday', 'Classical Music Magazine', 'Organists Review', 'The Flower Arranger', 'inBritain', 'The Journal' and 'Student Traveler'.
 
 
He recently won the 'City Prize' in the 2004 Insight Guides / Independent on Sunday Travel Photography Competition, with a picture of a street scene in Calcutta.
 
   
He is currently available for commissions (please get in touch) and all the pictures on this site (+ many others) are available for reproduction and as prints.
