Every morning on the island, several huge nets are pulled on to the shore by a long line of men. Many of them wade out until the sea is right up to their necks. It takes almost an hour until the catch of tiny whitebait is finally pulled ashore, when it is sold off immediately, or kept for the fish market later that morning.
