There are over 150 different types of boat that ply the thousands of sqaure miles of water that cover the deltaic plains of Bangladesh. From the small fishing nouka to large paddle-wheeled passenger ferries, they are a vital means of transport, especially during the monsoon season when about a third of the entire country is flooded.
