At the Golden Temple in Amritsar - the holiest shrine in Sikhism - groups of dhadis (intinerant musicians named after the small drum which accompanies their ballads) take turns to sing heroic tales from Sikh history to a large congregation. Here, the lead singer mirrors the vocal melody on a sarangi.
